Over 50 boy and girl junior members and with handicaps ranging from Category 1 to Category 4, Dartford Golf Club is a great place learn, improve, and play golf in safe environment.
Competitions
For those with golf handicaps, there are up to 20 Stableford, Medal and Matchplay club competitions per calendar year. Dartford Golf Club also runs regular meet ups for those Junior golfers that are yet to attain a full playing handicap. This gives all Junior members good access to, and familiarity with, our golf course.
Dartford Golf Club Juniors are also active within the county for other club competitions such as the Kent Junior Foursomes and the Langley Park Youth League Trophy. We currently also have several of our youngsters representing Kent Golf in their junior teams.
We have an annual Junior Presentation Night each November and all our Junior members are encouraged to attend this event the to celebrate the achievements and successes of the golfing season.
History
The Junior Section at Dartford has been going strong for over 50 years and we have seen some fantastic youngsters come through the ranks to become top amateurs and professionals who look back at their time as Juniors at Dartford Golf Club with fond memories.
£200 for 12 years and over
£150 for age 11 years and under. (must be accompanied by an adult unless pre-agreed with the parent / guardian and the junior organiser)
No joining fee.
The Dartford Golf Club Junior Section has friendly members and is a great place for young and old to make new friends. We are always looking for new recruits. EXISTING MEMBERS INCENTIVE
As of 1 May 2024, please also note our Junior Membership incentive for existing adult members that have a close junior family member who you would like to introduce to the club.
The junior will get the FIRST year of their membership for FREE if introduced by their parents or grandparents who are already a member of the club.
Dartford Golf Club has a large putting & chipping practice green and a recently re-developed practice area with new artificial mats for practicing those longer shots.
Our professional team of John Gregory and Dan Byrne offer individual, group junior lessons and summer academies.
We take great pride with our Junior Section here at Dartford Golf Club.
Our youngsters are the future of our club.
On 15th August the Junior Club Championship was played, a highly competitive day in the junior calendar.
Even though he was trying to win the scratch prize Harrion Costello came in as the winner of the best nett with a nett 69, winning on a back 9 count back to Ozzie May.
The winner of the scratch Junior Club Championship was Haiden Matos with his gross 72, winning by a shot to Harrison's gross 73.
