The 40th Anniversary Watson Trophy.

We were delighted to host the 40th Anniversary of the Watson Trophy.

Congratulations to Lucas Dennison (Rochester & Cobham Park) on winning the Watson Trophy (Men's County Champion of Champions) with a record score of six-under par 63.

Despite the pleasant recent weather, the Watson Trophy field was presented with a cold and windy day for this 40th anniversary. Whilst a lot struggled, there were some outstanding performances.

Sam Pantlin (Pedham Place), the winner from 2 years ago, returned a level par 69, which put him in 3rd place, and Conor Byers of Langley Park came in with an excellent 67, 2 under par, which would have been expected to win in many years.

However, the performance of the day was from Lucas Dennison of Rochester & Cobham Park, who despite a bogey at the last, returned a 6 under par 63, breaking the tournament record and becoming the 2026 Champion.

Billy Hutchins of Eltham Warren took the nett prize, on countback, with a 71.

Our thanks also go to Kevin Watson for presenting the winners with their prizes.

A great achivement for the club with a huge turnout of players from around kent to compete in this prestigeous event.
